This is a story of my life of charging, beginning at the age of twenty-three. It came softly, and I didn’t know it had taken a stronghold on me until I was in my late fifties. The story tells how this or any addiction can disrupt your emotions and your home to almost the extent of divorce with painful experiences.
The heart of the story tells of how a young girl who loved God so much was led away without even realizing what was happening and certainly unaware of the consequences. Addiction Comes Softly reveals the power of God through prayer, discipline, and making a complete U-turn in life, being healed by God’s amazing grace.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
I was born in 1941, the youngest of twelve children. My parents taught me the art of living a life dedicated to God. Living in the country, I developed a sense of freedom and the love of nature. I also learned shopping was a choice of that freedom and much fun, which is why I wrote this book.
In 1964 I married Thurman Gale Bailey. We have three daughters, one grandson, and one granddaughter. I have had a passion to write since childhood, doodling on paper anywhere I had the opportunity.
Now retired and having learned so much, I give a portion of my life’s learning to you as the reader.
