Brainwashed with this idea, his daughter, Mythraye, revolts. Sarma himself turns into a revolutionary maverick to the surprise and shock of his neighbors. Gopalakrishnan Veeraswamy was born in Chennai, India and migrated to the States as a student. After earning his Ph. D in English Literature from the University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC he taught English in various schools and colleges in South Carolina for close to thirty years.
