ABOUT THE AUTHOR
James A. Collier Jr. (Jim) is a native of Jackson, Tennessee, and a graduate of Lane College. He is a man of humble beginnings whose writings span a lifetime. His collection of poetry is being shared for the first time and is as unique and passionate as the artist himself.
Jim is a talented poet, painter, and musician who has performed with music legends Cannonball Adderly, Oliver Nelson, Chuck Berry, and Buddy Hacket. He is also an inventor who received two patents, as well as a Scientific Inventor’s Award from Better Family Life, Inc. In the mid-eighties, Jim retired from Monsanto Chemical Company after a successful twenty-year career in the field of Electrical Quality Engineering. He later became founder and owner of Collier Video Productions in St. Louis, Missouri. Life for him is active and at the age of eighty-plus years, he is still busy creating distinctive products for clients. He attributes his lifelong success to God’s abundant grace and a family who continually supports his endeavors.
A section of his book highlights the writings of two of his children and a granddaughter, in keeping with the title Generations of Poetry.
