Life's Wilderness

The poems and thoughts in Life’s Wilderness are perspectives on life now and after. They were inspired by events in my life, friends’ lives, and lives of others around me. They help me visualize the reality of life to come.
The photos are about what is, what isn’t, what was, what wasn’t, and what might have been. They are snapshots of instances of beauty in this world. They speak, if you only are still and listen.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Born in Wilmington, North Carolina, and growing up on the coast, I watched the rhythms and fragility of life and wondered where it went at the end.
I served in the Navy and Navy Reserves, and I worked in Washington, D.C., where I met my wife, Barbara. We raised our three children in Clayton, North Carolina, where we still operate a photography studio and are currently enjoying watching our four grandchildren grow.
