Love, Life, and the Lord is a compilation of poetry which meticulously explores the universal issues of love and rejection as well as the intricacies of human relationships. Kevin Anthony employs informal, often colloquial language, including elements of slang, which has the effect of rendering the collection personal and accessible. He also displays a skillful use of imagery and metaphor to ensure that emotions, which are the primary inspirations for these poems, are vividly and distinctively expressed throughout the whole of Love, Life, and the Lord.
