Born in Philadelphia, author Tiffany J. Collins was never close with her mother. When Tiffany left home as a teenager, her mother refused to let her take her children with her. After living in a shelter, she moved to the projects when she was eighteen. Shortly after this, her son ran away from her mother’s house to live with her. Seven years later, Tiffany bought herself a house. She is currently working and going to school.
Tiffany says she writes poetry because it helps her recognize and solve the problems she has.
