by Mel Michaels
“Don’t be afraid of who you are, just be yourself, and always say what you mean and mean what you say,” writes Mel Michaels. But once upon a time, she thought that self-expression was a sign of emotional instability, not the path to strength she knows now.
She claims that she may not know much about poetry, but Mel Michaels writes only what she sees and feels in language we can all relate to. Join her on her journey of self-discovery and you will see a reflection of your inner self. Mel Michaels had a wonderful time putting her favorite poems together, and you will enjoy the result. Making people laugh, cry, or just feel lets her know she accomplished what she set out to do.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Mel Michaels has a passion for making up scary stories. Growing up in the small Minnesota town of Redwood Falls, all she needed was a title, and she could create a story. Although she is part of a large family, Melinda is usually shy and quiet. Growing up, she spent most of her time reading books and writing poetry.
Mel started writing again recently to entertain her friends online, and it has become a passion once more.
After living in New York for a few years, she’s back in Minnesota. She loves biking, finding antique “treasures,” and of course, reading horror books.
