by Michelle Carreiro

In Remembrance of Youth, Michelle Carreiro gives us the unique and beautiful verse of a poet who has gained mental and emotional strength. She combines her life experience with her deepest thoughts and feelings and, like all great artists, says something extraordinary about the human condition and the significance of adulthood.

“The Mirror” teaches us to accept who we really are and regard inner beauty more highly than appearance. The peer pressure of being popular is addressed in “Just Because I’m….” In addition to poems, the author presents reflective themes such as unrequited love, hopes, and heartbreak.

Join Michelle Carreiro as she reaches deeply into her heart and takes you on a journey into her soul, as her life has taken her miles away from her home country, Brazil.
