Songs of Life and Love displays an interesting blend of inspiration, humor, the love for life, a little politics, the quest of learning, expanding the study of the mind, breathing in expectation the nourishing, the nurturing, real love for another, the caring of family and friends. Umiokalani enters the realm of being, as it swirls all around us like leaves in the autumn, the wind at our backs pushing us for the “Aloha Nui!”—The Love!
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Umiokalani is influenced by a direct descendant of Scottish ancestry, the poet Robert Burns. She’s been encouraged by family, friends, with travel and life experiences. With her eyes and mind open, she reveals a genuine deep love of culture, language, food, and exhibits a friendly attitude toward people in all walks of life, with a sense of humor when things are looking down. And she doesn’t mind cooking—if someone else does the dishes! Gardening and grandchildren keep her busy!
